Beta Fashion

For uni we were asked to enter a competition in order to complete one of our pieces of coursework. I decided to enter the Beta Fashion competition, designing a scarf on photoshop under the brief of a Noahs Ark theme. I have created 6 different designs to submit as I couldn't decide on just one!

Birds of Feather - The bird was a big part of Noahs Ark, and so i wanted to base my design around this. I also love paisley and decided to incorporate this into my bird design, with effective use of colours and different sizes to tie in all different types of bird. This design is currently up on the website, so if you would like to vote for me please follow this link and spare some of your time to enter your email address, would be much appreciated! http://www.betafashion.com/competitionratedesign.aspx?SubmissionID=6749&compID=0&filter=0

Elephant - Inspired by my love of elephants, with hand drawn designs of giraffes and Noahs Ark too. I have used a large elephants head to show the largest animal on the Ark.

Elephant repeat - Created using the stamp tool on photoshop layering up my hand drawn elephant design.

Butterflies - I wanted to keep to a simple line drawing however incorporating bright bold colours behind but so they didnt neccesarily stay within the lines, and I think the use of scale has complimented this.

Giraffes - I love this design and the way I have hand drawn the giraffes in a simple yet quirky way. I think this has become really effective and have decided to keep it simple with just the line drawings.

Elephants Reunite - Pattern created using my hand drawn image of an elephant.
